Giving Schofield Sweeney a new online look and feel

Established in 1988, Schofield Sweeney has grown from a team of six to over ninety employees across three sites in Leeds, Huddersfield and Bradford.

As a leading commercial law firm with three sites in West Yorkshire, Schofield Sweeney offers a wide range of services to businesses, organisations and individuals. Having come so far, they needed a new website which represented their growth and showcased their legal talents.

The challenge

The main task was to refresh their website and bring it in line with their offline branding, while at the same time showing their scale and expertise while keeping their easy-to-approach personality.

We also had to change the way they thought about their website with regards to client acquisition. Our research in identifying how law firms acquire and retain new clients showed that they needed to focus on lead generation.

Our solution

We knew we had to concentrate on brand reinforcement, reassurance and the encouragement of direct engagement with Schofield Sweeney’s different legal experts. Through continued research using customer facing questionnaires, we also discovered what existing and prospective clients wanted from their digital interactions.

We also identified specific service offerings which could be promoted in highly targeted lead generation campaigns.


Showcasing expertise

Consumer insight, together with our understanding of how their website could best display their services and offerings, allowed us to define and visualise an optimised user experience which made Schofield Sweeney the go-to industry experts, and allowed clients to easily find and contact them. The new website supported business development by acting as a primary referral support tool, providing reassurance and confidence to anyone looking for legal services.


Driving commercial success

Since the launch and the implementation of campaign propositions, the site has experienced a fantastic upturn in leads and new business wins.

We are now working with Schofield Sweeney to support them in driving commercial success through search marketing and ongoing website maintenance.
