I’m Emma Bowers, a fourth year Public Relations & Communications undergraduate at Leeds Beckett University.

How and why did you want to get work experience at Enjoy Digital?

As my particular area of interest lies within the convergence of PR and Marketing, my decision to apply for a work experience placement at Enjoy Digital was an easy one. I wanted to spend time in an environment that took an integrated approach to communications as it's an important feature in today’s rapidly developing digital landscape.

Describe some projects you have helped work on

During my six-week internship at Enjoy I have had the opportunity to broaden my experience. I've been involved in fundamental tasks at the heart of PR such as media outreach, relationship building and coverage monitoring.

With clients operating in a variety of sectors, I’ve been able to widen my knowledge around construction through to home interiors sectors. I also attended a social media monitoring training session which demonstrated how monitoring tools can be best used to track social media campaigns and evaluate success.

How do you feel your placement will benefit your experience/course/job prospects?

I have no doubt that my placement will be beneficial, both in terms of my University degree and future job prospects. Having undertaken a number of work experience roles to date, I take something different from each agency.

Writing a dissertation around the blurring lines between PR and Marketing in practice, my experience at Enjoy has certainly provided valuable insight into what this looks like in an integrated agency context.

What have you enjoyed most about your work experience?

For me, the best part of my placement at Enjoy Digital was working amongst a talented and passionate team. The agency is instilled with a vibrant personality and a brilliant work ethic, as demonstrated by the fantastic work they do for clients, day in, day out.

Thank you for having me, Enjoy Digital!
