We had a very busy week last week at ED Quarters with our team out and about in Manchester and Yorkshire, site launches and awards do’s.

First up on Wednesday we journeyed over to Manchester to Chair a breakfast briefing with Pro Manchester on Digital Evolution in the Financial Services. Our Strategy Director, Kristal was accompanied by Ben McKay, Head of Organic Performance for Money Supermarket and Peter Cobley, Commercial Director for Home James.  The session was well attended by professionals from the North West with Ben and Peter both giving solid presentations about the growth of digital marketing in the financial sector.

The standout statistic of the morning came from Ben at Money Supermarket who reported that since making a switch to a heavily content marketing led SEO strategy, Money Supermarket have seen a 29% increase in revenue growth from natural search in the last 12 months.

Our particular favourite piece of content marketing from Money Supermarket was The Cost of Being Batman Infographic which you can see here: http://pinterest.com/pin/35184440810087409/

Wednesday also saw us launch a brand new website for our client AM Source Technology: http://www.amsourcetechnology.com/. IT Recruitment specialists AM Source commissioned Enjoy to build an effective recruitment website that reflected the niche nature of their business, whilst also providing an attractive show case of their latest vacancies for candidate attraction.

On Thursday we had a doubly exciting day with our Strategy Director Kristal presenting on Digital Marketing for Tourism Businesses at the International Nature Tourism Conference with the Wildlife Trust, and our MD and Search Team heading over to Manchester to attend the Fresh Awards 2012 where we were nominated for our work with Pitman Training.

The International Nature Tourism Conference attracted delegates from all over the UK and Europe with passionate people giving presentations on sustainable tourism, nature tourism promotion and hosting an exhibition on the Living Seas initiative pioneered by the Yorkshire Wildlife Trust.  Our presentation drew on Kristal’s deep knowledge about digital travel and tourism marketing and focussed on the latest digital techniques businesses can use to promote themselves such as; Pinterest, Google Business Photo’s, Instagram and featured stand out case studies to inspire the audience.

The conference was a resounding success and a big thank you to the Yorkshire Wildlife Trust for inviting us to speak. You can find out more about the fantastic work they do over on their website: http://www.ywt.org.uk/. We also made a special friend in the form of Larry the Lobster from the Living Seas exhibition.

Thursday night saw our MD and Search team getting Fresh in Manchester at the 2012 Fresh Awards. We were nominated for our on-going work with Pitman Training on their website, search strategy and implementation. Although we didn’t win it was fantastic to be nominated alongside big agency names such as Carat (who scooped the prized), Sony and Mindshare. You can view all the entries over on the Fresh Awards website here: http://www.freshawards.co.uk/Awards

A very busy and exciting week all round! We have an equally exciting one coming up this week as ED will be working with the David Young Academy in Seacroft for the BIMA D-Day initiative on Wednesday… but more about that later!
