Research Manager

This is a great opportunity for an experienced researcher to join our team and drive results through understanding our client’s customers.

This is a really varied role, where research plays a key role across the agency in understanding our client’s customers. We have clients across a wide range of sectors and execute a wide range of user research methods (user testing, depth interviews, persona development etc.), where research solutions are designed to meet objectives.

Being a fully integrated digital agency, you’ll have the opportunity to follow research projects right through to delivery and results, to see the impact research has made.

You’ll work closely with, and be able to learn from, a number of different teams from marketing and production to produce research to power strategies and solutions to help our clients and their customers.

  • Determine the best approach to user user research, based on client objectives
  • Use a variety of appropriate research methods, such as user interviews, focus groups, moderated user testing, surveys
  • Manages the relationship with recruitment and facility partners
  • Create screening questionnaires, discussion guides and test scripts
  • Plan and schedule user research sessions
  • Is the moderator and leads user research sessions, ensuring the outputs will meet objectives
  • Analyse and interpret user research data to ensure outputs meet objectives
  • Build reports that clearly show user research findings and outputs
  • Prioritise recommendations based on impact on objectives
  • Present findings both internally and to clients
  • Share knowledge across the agency in research techniques
  • Research and develop new user research techniques to continually develop our user research offering
  • Be a key member of the UX team, contiburing to and developing projects to work towards continual growth in the UX offering
  • Determines best approach, develops pitch decks and delivers pitches for new opportunities
  • Identify opportunities to sell in research to existing clients
  • Ensure all research projects are delivered on time, to budget, meeting objectives
  • Liaise with teams across the agency on and understands how research impacts other teams work


  • 3+ year experience managing and moderating research
  • Qual and quant research, covering; surveys, user testing, depth interviews, focus groups, persona development, card sorting
  • Proven track record of delivering research projects to meet objectives
  • Understanding of research in digital
  • Understanding of UX principles

  • Building relationships - Build strong relationships with fellow team members, clients and suppliers
  • Sales/Pitching - Is capable of understanding a brief and creating/pitching a response to achieve the potential clients objectives.
  • Strategic - Strategic thinker able to develop working strategies with the end objectives in mind
  • Mentoring - Able to mentor more junior members of the team across a variety of tasks to improve their knowledge
  • Management - Able to manage and support and delegate to junior members of the team to ensure they complete their tasks and responsibilities to a high standard, on time and within budgets
  • Ownership - Actively owns digital insights projects, ensuring the delivery of projects to hit targets and meet objectives
