An integrated SEO and PPC strategy to increase site traffic, boost website conversions and generate positive ROI

DIY Kitchens were disappointed with the results they were getting from their existing SEO agency.

We helped them discover which areas they were weak in and offered them a combination of our SEO & PPC services.

The task

DIY Kitchens came to us a little despondent after having used another SEO agency for the past year. Whilst they saw results in their rankings for a number of key phrases in the search engines, this wasn’t turning into sales.

We discovered that DIY Kitchens were looking to:

  • Increase conversion rate
  • Improve search engine visibility further in areas they would see a ROI
  • Increase traffic through both organic and paid search sources
  • Improve usability of their website

Our Solution

We took a look at the DIY Kitchens website and firstly identified it was very difficult to use, there wasn't a clear structure and it quickly became very confusing.

On top of this there were also some fundamental crawling issues for search engine spiders meaning many of their pages were not making it into the index at all as they were being hidden behind Javascript menus.

In order to rectify these issues and focus on our other tasks we have/are:

  • Produced a recommendations document for their in house development team
  • Re-structuring their paid search campaigns
  • Looking for new keyword target opportunities
  • Expanding the paid search campaign
  • Link building
  • Carrying out on site SEO

The Results

As a result of our recommendations document DIY Kitchens decided to give their existing site a complete overhaul.

  • Increased paid search revenue by 66% YOY (Oct- Dec 2010 vs. 2011)
  • 62% increase in paid search traffic
  • 27% increase in ROI on paid search traffic

As we have only recently begun to work on their SEO, it would not be easy for us to determine the achievements purely as a result of our efforts, therefore we will update this when we can do so.
