Working in partnership with Propaganda Agency, we were challenged to come up with an interactive concept that would create a buzz around the brand and support an on pack redemption campaign.
The Boost Champions campaign was launched in April 2012 and featured 5 retro and fun to play online games.
Boost fans were able to access the games via desktop, but we wanted to go one step further than this so we decided to develop the games across the main mobile platforms as well. The games were developed for iPhone, Android and Blackberry devices, so no Boost fans were left out of the fun.
Each game was carefully designed to have playability that harked back to Konami’s classic 1983 Olympic-themed arcade game ‘Track and field’ but each with its own Boost Drinks twist. ‘Bus Stop Sprint’ was our take on the ‘100 Meter Dash’ with gamers challenged to catch a moving bus in the fastest time while ‘Super Donner Toss’ sets the challenge of throwing a Donner kebab as far into a sandpit as you can.
The games were built onto the Enjoy Digital gaming engine to ensure we effectively captured opted-in user data to allow Boost to remark to their consumer database. Running alongside the Boost Champions website was an integrated Social Media Campaign and email marketing strategy, keeping Boost gamers up to date with the latest game launch and winners.
